Recap: Palmetto Tigers vs. Charlotte Fightin' Tarpons
After a string of three wins, the Palmetto Tigers's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were dealt a 57-14 loss at the hands of Charlotte. While losing is never fun, Palmetto can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 265th, while Charlotte is ranked 47th).
Despite the defeat, Palmetto had strong showings from Aliyah Parker, who scored four points, and Solaura Glover, who scored no points.
Palmetto's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Charlotte, they pushed their record up to 11-5 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palmetto will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Braden River at 7:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for Charlotte, they will square off against Sarasota at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
