Basketball Recap: Walnut Ridge Takes a Loss

Walnut Ridge lost against Harrisburg back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Walnut Ridge Bobcats received a blow as they fell 56-39 to the Harrisburg Hornets. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Harrisburg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alesia Rand, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Rand has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ragan Fahr, who posted 16 points.

Walnut Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Harrisburg, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Walnut Ridge has already played their next matchup, a 54-45 loss against Rivercrest on the 6th. As for Harrisburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 64-7 victory against Hoxie on the 6th.
