Cinco Ranch won the last time they faced Morton Ranch and things went their way on Friday too. The Cinco Ranch Cougars put the hurt on the Morton Ranch Mavericks with a sharp 6-1 win. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 210th, while the Mavericks are ranked 439th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Cinco Ranch's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-10-2. As for Morton Ranch, they dropped their record down to 3-15-1 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Cinco Ranch does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Morton Ranch will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Seven Lakes at 7:15 p.m. on March 17th. Seven Lakes will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Morton Ranch surely won't give up without a fight.
