Volleyball Recap: Crofton Comes Up Short

Crofton lost against Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Warriors fell 3-1 to the Bobcats.

Jaisie Janssen paced Crofton's offense, picking up 20 kills. Janssen were helped by Emma Kuchta and Tylee Cooper, who contributed 17 assists each.

Kaylee Thiele had an outrageously good game for Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] as she had 31 digs and five assists. Thiele has been hot for a while, having posted 15 or more digs the last 12 times she's played.

Crofton has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 16 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-18 record this season. As for Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard], the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-17.

Crofton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard], they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Guardian Angels Central Catholic on the 27th.
