Basketball Recap: Elkin's Win Ends Ten-Game Losing Streak at Home

After losing to North Forsyth the last time they met, Elkin decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Elkin Buckin' Elks took down the North Forsyth Vikings 60-45 on Monday.

North Forsyth's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Drahcir Williams, who went 8 for 15 on his way to 18 points and six rebounds, and Kerry Smith, who posted 18 points and six rebounds.

Elkin's victory ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2. As for North Forsyth, they dropped their record down to 1-1 with the defeat, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Elkin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 50-43 loss against Wilkes Central on the 3rd. As for North Forsyth, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 64-47 win against Atkins on the 6th.
