Baseball Recap: Buffalo Bison vs. Clay County Panthers
The third road game was the charm for Buffalo, as they earned their first away win of the season. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 victory over the Clay County Panthers on Friday.

Evan Panaro made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Caiden Craig was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Hunter Rutan also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Buffalo's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Clay County, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.
Coming up, Buffalo will head out on the road to challenge Nitro at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Buffalo is facing Nitro at the right time seeing as Nitro is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Clay County, they will host Scott at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Scott's pitching crew has only allowed 2.6 runs per game this season, so Clay County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
