Recap: Hopi Bruins vs. Williams Vikings
After losing to the Williams Vikings the last time they met, the Hopi Bruins decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Hopi walked away with a 45-38 victory over Williams on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Hopi.
When it comes to explaining why Williams lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kai Mortensen . Despite the final result, she scored 16 points along with 8 rebounds and 7 steals. The game was Mortensen 's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Braydyn Larimore was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 3 steals.
Hopi now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Williams, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
Hopi will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Alchesay at 6:00 p.m. Alchesay is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Williams, they will head out on the road to face off against Mogollon at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
