Basketball Recap: Gilmer Comes Up Short

Gilmer was the 55-39 winner over Grace Community when they last played one another back in December of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Gilmer Buckeyes took a 73-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Grace Community Cougars on Friday. The Buckeyes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gilmer's loss dropped their record down to 13-15. As for Grace Community, they pushed their record up to 22-15 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gilmer will square off against Canton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grace Community, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cougars face off against the Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Grace Prep will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Grace Community surely won't give up without a fight.
