Softball Recap: Devine Warhorses vs. Pearsall Mavericks
Devine won the last time they faced Pearsall and things went their way on Friday too. Devine came out on top against Pearsall by a score of 7-4 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).
Tucker Traylor spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on seven hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Maddie Brown was incredible, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Skylar Blanton, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.
Devine was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pearsall only posted a batting average of .259.
Devine is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games.
