After flying high against Riverfield Academy last Friday, Leake Academy came back down to earth. Leake Academy took a blow against Tri-County Academy on Friday, falling 52-18. Leake Academy's loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

When it comes to explaining why Leake Academy lost, don't look at Garrett Adcock. Despite the final result, he picked up 35 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 78 yards. George Wilcox was in the mix as well, providing Leake Academy with two touchdowns.

Leake Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Tri-County Academy, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Leake Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Central Hinds Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Rebels their first taste of in-conference action this season. Meanwhile, Tri-County Academy will challenge rival Riverfield Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
