Softball Recap: Oakland Catholic Comes Up Short

Oakland Catholic came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-2 to the Laurel Highlands Mustangs.

Chloe Fettis and Nina Hillard stepped up to the plate in a big way. Fettis went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI, while Hillard scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

Oakland Catholic now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Laurel Highlands, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-2.

Coming up, Oakland Catholic will challenge Taylor Allderdice at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Oakland Catholic's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dragons have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season. As for Laurel Highlands, they will square off against Elizabeth Forward at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
