Softball Game Preview: Shoals Christian Flame vs. Waterloo Cougars

Shoals Christian is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Athens Bible on Tuesday. They came up short against the Trojans, falling 10-2.

Waterloo pushed their record up to 14-4 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Shoals Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

Thursday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Shoals Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .331.
