Preview: Darlington vs. Cambridge
Cambridge will challenge Darlington on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. Cambridge are cruising in on a five-game winning streak while Darlington are stumbling in off of four consecutive losses.
Cambridge won against Wisconsin Dells two weeks ago with 49 points, and Cambridge decided to stick to that point total again last week. Cambridge took the matchup and then some with a 49-14 win over Waterloo. Followers of Cambridge probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected four blowout victories.
Meanwhile, Darlington found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 8-42 punch to the gut against Fennimore. Darlington were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-42.
Cambridge's victory lifted them to 5-0 while Darlington's defeat dropped them down to 1-4. In their victory, Cambridge relied heavily on senior Riley Olson, who rushed for 256 yards and 4 touchdowns. Darlington will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
