Edna took a seven-run defeat the last time they faced off against Tidehaven, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Edna sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over Tidehaven on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cowboys have posted against the Tigers since March 1, 2022.

The win made it two in a row for Edna and bumps their season record up to 6-12-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 1 runs in those games. As for Tidehaven, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 14-11.

Looking ahead, Edna will host Hallettsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hallettsville's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Edna's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Tidehaven, they will face off against Industrial at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
