Softball Preview: Webber Trojans vs. Red Hill Salukis

Webber has enjoyed a six-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Red Hill Salukis at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Jayden Taylor was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Shayla Brumley was another key contributor, scoring two runs while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.

Even though they lost, Webber didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and finished the game with nine strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Grayville only tossed five.

Red Hill lost 9-3 to Odin/Patoka/Sandoval on Thursday.

Red Hill saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Seed, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Whitley McCaslin, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Webber's record now sits at 3-12. As for Red Hill, their record now sits at 4-8-1.
