Volleyball Game Preview: Prior Lake Lakers vs. Eden Prairie Eagles

The Prior Lake Lakers will take on the Eden Prairie Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Prior Lake had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Shakopee on Thursday. The Lakers put the hurt on the Sabers with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Lakers in their matchups with the Sabers: they've now won six in a row.

Eden Prairie hadn't beaten Minnetonka on the road since September 24, 2022 but that history sure didn't bother them on Thursday. The Eagles had just enough and edged out the Skippers 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted against the Skippers since October 29, 2020.

Prior Lake better keep an eye on Avery Jensen. She was instrumental in Eden Prairie's win, getting 23 digs and three aces. That's the most digs Jensen has posted since back in September of 2024. Sophia Kuechle was another key player, getting seven digs and three aces.

Eden Prairie was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 17 aces. They are 6-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Eden Prairie's win bumped their record up to 10-19. As for Prior Lake, their victory bumped their record up to 18-9.
