Preview: Hull Pirates vs. Carver Crusaders
Hull and Carver are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Hull Pirates will head out on the road to face off against the Carver Crusaders at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hull is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
Hull suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 73-46 loss at the hands of Avon. While losing is never fun, Hull can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while Avon is ranked 97th).
Meanwhile, Carver pushed their score all the way to 63 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 64-63 to Mashpee.
Hull's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-9. As for Carver, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
Hull came up short against Carver in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, falling 52-45. Can Hull avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
