High-scoring Joyce Edwards of Camden (S.C.) and Saniya Burks of Rice (Texas) join record book.

Texas sharpshooters Sadie Sanchez of Randall (Amarillo) and Aaliyah Chavez of Monterey (Lubbock) led a trio of players during the 2023-24 girls high school basketball season who broke the single-season 3-point shooting mark.

Prior to last season, only one player in history had ever made more than 176 3-pointers in a season. By the end of this past season, Sanchez, Chavez and freshman Kaleena Smith of Ontario Christian (Ontario, Calif.) has surpassed that total.
