East Bernard put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They never let the Sealy Tigers get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. This was payback for the Brahmas, who suffered a 7-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

East Bernard saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rocky Ruiz, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Tye Warncke also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

East Bernard hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in three consecutive contests.

East Bernard pushed their record up to 6-0 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Sealy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Coming up, East Bernard will face off against Bay City at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Sealy, they will be taking part in a tournament against Lamar Consolidated at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Sealy is facing Lamar Consolidated at the right time seeing as Lamar Consolidated is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
