Baseball Recap: Ridley Find Success

While Ridley's victory against Conestoga wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Ridley narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Conestoga 4-2. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Pioneers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Luke Ladislaw made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Ladislaw was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one triple and one run. That triple was his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Bobby Doherty, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Logan Bubb also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Ridley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Conestoga only managed five hits.

Ridley's record is now 3-1. As for Conestoga, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Ridley will face off against Interboro at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Conestoga has already played their next contest (against Kennett), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
