Basketball Recap: Liberty Takes a Loss

Liberty was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Crestview Rebels 68-8. While losing is never fun, the Leopards can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 750th, while the Rebels are ranked 113th).

Addison Rhodes continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Crestview, putting up 31 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. The matchup was Rhodes' 12th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Luvrain Gaskins, who posted seven points and eight rebounds.

Liberty's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Crestview, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

Liberty has already played their next contest (against Newton Falls), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Crestview wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 64-19 victory against Brookfield on the 23rd.
