Football Recap: Show Low's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Show Low had won three straight games and Jett Walker did his part to make it four on Friday. The Cougars really took it to the Apache Junction Prospectors for the full four quarters, racking up a 57-0 victory with plenty of help from Walker, who rushed for 108 yards and three TDs. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Show Low's defense and their four sacks. Apache Junction's QB won't forget Cooper Peck anytime soon given he sacked him twice.

Show Low's record now sits at 5-1. As for Apache Junction, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Show Low and Apache Junction will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Cougars see the field they'll take on Round Valley at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. As for Apache Junction, their break will end when they face Blue Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on October 10.
