League recap: Staley tops North Kansas City to extend winning streak

Suburban - White recap Oct. 23, 2012

Staley extended the longest winning streak in Suburban - White this week by beating North Kansas City, 45-8. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Falcons.

Fort Osage took down Belton 49-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.

Staley's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Dalton Parks threw for 145 and two touchdowns and Tyler Nugent had 58 yards receiving. On the ground Kahluna Bouchard chipped in 150 yards. Ryan Pierce helped Staley's passing attack out by catching four balls for 33 yards.

On the ground, Fred Bouchard's team's Trent Hosick has rushed for 939 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Nugent. The Staley star has 21 catches for 544 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Raytown takes on Chrisman. As it stands, the Bluejays are in third, while the Bears are in fifth.

The Indians led Suburban - White in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on the Pirates.
