The Navasota Rattlers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Smithville Tigers at 5:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

If Navasota beats Smithville with 59 points on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two games with that exact score. Navasota took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 59-20 victory over Bellville. Given the Rattlers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 538th, while the Brahmas are ranked 1089th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Smithville won against Giddings on Tuesday with 45 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Smithville walked away with a 45-34 win over Caldwell.

Navasota pushed their record up to 18-9 with the victory, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.4 points per game. As for Smithville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.
