Troup is 8-2 against West Rusk since March of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Troup Tigers will host the West Rusk Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Troup's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so West Rusk's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Troup will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs last Tuesday, then bounced right back against West Rusk on Tuesday. Troup was the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over West Rusk. Considering the Tigers have won seven matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Caden Graves made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off seven hits. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in March of 2024. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Joshua Childress was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Huml, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Troup lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

West Rusk has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-8-1 record this season. Troup's victory bumped their record up to 12-5.
