Basketball Game Preview: Frontier Cougars vs. St. Marys Blue Devils

The Frontier Cougars are taking a road trip to face off against the St. Marys Blue Devils at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Marys took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Frontier, who comes in off a win.

Frontier will bounce into Monday's game after beating River, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Cougars took down the Pilots 54-35 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Meanwhile, St. Marys was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss. They took a 70-56 bruising from Roane County.

Frontier's win bumped their record up to 14-7. As for St. Marys, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-18.

Everything came up roses for Frontier against St. Marys in their previous matchup back in December of 2025, as the team secured a 65-28 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
