Volleyball Recap: Whitehall-Yearling Comes Up Short

Whitehall-Yearling lost against Columbus Academy back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rams came up short against the Vikings, falling 3-0. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-12, 25-12.

Lauren Blackburn paced Whitehall-Yearling's offense, picking up three kills. Blackburn got some help from Hermela Wolday and her nine assists. Finally, Blackburn was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high six blocks.

Whitehall-Yearling's defeat dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Columbus Academy, the win snapped their losing streak at three matches and leaves them with a 12-10 record.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Whitehall-Yearling and St. Francis DeSales will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Columbus Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
