Soccer Game Preview: Granite Falls vs. University Prep

The Granite Falls Tigers will face off against the University Prep Pumas at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Granite Falls: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while University Prep has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.

Granite Falls fell victim to Non Varsity Opponent and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to Non Varsity Opponent.

Meanwhile, University Prep hasn't lost a match yet, a trend which continued in their latest game on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand Bush a 1-0 shutout. Given University Prep's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 15th, while Bush are ranked 64th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

University Prep is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-0-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 21 goals over those six games. As for Granite Falls, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8-2.
