Basketball Recap: Oakwood Takes a Loss

Oakwood was the 42-28 winner over Georgetown-Ridge Farm when they last played one another on Thursday, but their luck changed this time around. The Oakwood Comets took a 33-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Georgetown-Ridge Farm Buffaloes on Friday.

Lainee Smith was Oakwood's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Rylee Wright held things down on the boards with six rebounds. Bella Bradford took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

Oakwood's loss dropped their record down to 8-15. As for Georgetown-Ridge Farm, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-8 record.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Salt Fork the next time they take the court. Oakwood will head out to face Salt Fork at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, while Georgetown-Ridge Farm will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
