Chaminade-Madonna extended their postseason success on Wednesday against Clearwater Central Catholic. They took their match with ease, bagging a 42-7 victory over the Clearwater Central Catholic Marauders. The win was familiar territory for the Lions who have now won 13 games in a row.

Chaminade-Madonna can attribute much of their success to Tyler Chance, who threw for 217 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. That's the most passing yards Chance has posted since back in August. Denairius Gray did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 99 receiving yards.

Chaminade-Madonna didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Izziek Chandler, John Gay, and Kelly Sejour Jr. picked up one apiece. Chandler is also on a roll when it comes to defended passes, as he's now defended at least one in the last four games he's played. Chaminade-Madonna got some further help from Anthony Smith: he picked up 0.5 sacks, forced one fumble, and made 12 total tackles (2.5 for loss).

Despite the loss, Clearwater Central Catholic still got an impressive performance from Khayse Barrett, who rushed for 156 yards on only 13 carries, and also threw for 111 yards on ten of 16 attempts.

Chaminade-Madonna's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-2. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.0 points per game. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-3.

As of now, neither Chaminade-Madonna nor Clearwater Central Catholic have any future games scheduled.
