Estacado hadn't done well against Littlefield recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Matadors skirted past the Wildcats 3-2. The Matadors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Estacado wouldn't go down easily and took Littlefield into a fifth set where they got it done with a 14-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-23, 25-23, 20-25, 15-1.

Addison Thomas paced Estacado's offense, picking up 15 kills. Thomas got some help from London Burrell and her 16 assists. Burrell also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Debriyah Britt, racking up four apiece.

Estacado is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-6 record this season. As for Littlefield, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Coming up, Estacado will be taking part in a tournament against Friona at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday. After both having extra time off, Littlefield and Vega will shake off the rust and duke it out on Tuesday.
