Volleyball Recap: Redwood's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Redwood waltzed into their contest on Saturday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Stockdale Mustangs by a score of 2-0. The Rangers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

While Redwood won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-15.

Katelynn May paced Redwood's offense, picking up 12 kills. May got some help from Elise Minnick and her 15 assists. May was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

The victory got Redwood back to even at 11-11. As for Stockdale, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-9-1 record this season.

Redwood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Monache on the 13th. As for Stockdale, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Tehachapi on the 13th.
