Basketball Recap: Denham Springs' Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

With a playoff win on the line, Denham Springs rose to the challenge on Friday. They took down the Prairieville Hurricanes 68-52. The win was familiar territory for the Yellowjackets, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Taylor Smith was her usual excellent self, going 6-for-10 to rack up 18 points. Prai Nelson was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Denham Springs smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Denham Springs' victory bumped their record up to 21-9. As for Prairieville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 11-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Denham Springs nor Prairieville have any future games scheduled.
