Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Normal University). They walked away with a 66-54 victory over the Jacksonville Crimsons on Friday. That's more bragging rights for the Pioneers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Several Crimsons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Amaree Burries, who posted ten points in addition to eight assists and five rebounds. Those eight assists gave Burries a new career-high. Latrell Hemphill was another key player, putting up 11 points.

The win made it two in a row for Normal University and bumps their season record up to 12-8. As for Jacksonville, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Normal University has already played their next contest (against Peoria Notre Dame), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Jacksonville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 63-46 defeat against Rochester on the 18th.
