Basketball Game Preview: Everett Vikings vs. Waverly Warriors

Everett hasn't had much luck against Waverly recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Vikings will be home for the holidays to greet the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Everett turned things around against Lansing Catholic on Saturday. They strolled past the Cougars with points to spare, taking the game 58-41.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Waverly beat Holt 81-77 on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Warriors in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won seven in a row.

Everett's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Waverly, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.

Everett came up short against Waverly in their previous matchup back in January, falling 67-58. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
