Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sheldon). They skirted past the Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn Hawks 12-11. This was payback for the Orabs, who suffered a 6-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

The victory made it two in a row for Sheldon and bumps their season record up to 2-4. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Sheldon didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 10-1 win against Emmetsburg on the 7th. As for Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn, they will square off against Akron-Westfield at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Westerners will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Hawks surely won't give up without a fight.
