Baseball Game Preview: Lewisburg Patriots vs. Northside Patriots

Lewisburg will head out to face off against Northside at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Lewisburg is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Horn Lake a 15-0 shutout on Monday. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Brady Rodgers looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Caden Nelson, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Andrew Hendrichovsky, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Lewisburg kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Northside waltzed into their game on Thursday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Cardinals as they made off with a 10-4 victory. While the Patriots didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Lewisburg's record is now 7-2. As for Northside, their record is now 7-3.
