Soccer Recap: Emery Comes Up Short

Emery was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Carbon Dinos, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Emery can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah soccer rankings (they are ranked 99th, while Carbon are ranked 25th).

Emery's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Carbon, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-2.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Emery is set to take on their familiar foe North Sanpete at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Carbon will challenge rival Manti at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
