Football Recap: Thornridge Comes Up Short

Thornridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Kankakee Kays 82-6. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 502nd, while the Kays are ranked 30th).

Thornridge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Kankakee, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thornridge will venture away from home to square off against Bloom at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Kankakee, they will take on Normal Community at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Kays will need to watch out since the Ironmen have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
