Basketball Game Preview: Clifton Central Comets vs. Tri-Point Chargers

Clifton Central has won three straight games at home, while Tri-Point has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Clifton Central Comets will host the Tri-Point Chargers at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are at an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2017, but likely not for long.

If Clifton Central beats Tri-Point with 50 points on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Clifton Central took down Momence 50-36 on Monday.

Clifton Central has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.1 points over those games. As for Tri-Point, their victory bumped their record up to 20-5.
