Baseball Recap: Simla Wins Going Away Against Cotopaxi

Simla never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Cotopaxi Pirates as they made off with a 12-0 win. The Cubs haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

T.J. Eurich made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. He also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season.

Simla was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .435. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive matches.

Simla now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Cotopaxi, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
