Baseball Game Preview: Clayton Clippers vs. Bridgeton Bulldogs

The Clayton Clippers will square off against the Bridgeton Bulldogs at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Pleasantville hit Clayton with a six-run fourth inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Clippers lost 9-2 to the Greyhounds.

Clayton saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Christian Thibault, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run.

Meanwhile, Bridgeton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They fell 9-4 to Clayton.

Clayton has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for Bridgeton, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14-1.

Clayton was able to grind out a solid victory over Bridgeton in their previous meeting on Friday, winning 9-4. Do the Clippers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
