Baseball Recap: Gilbert Comes Up Short

Gilbert lost to Gray Collegiate Academy on Tuesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Indians fell 7-2 to the War Eagles. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gilbert's loss dropped their record down to 13-8-2. As for Gray Collegiate Academy, their victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-4-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gilbert will take on River Bluff at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Gators' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Indians' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Gray Collegiate Academy, they will face off against Augusta Christian at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The War Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 7.9 runs per game this season.
