Clay's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They won by a set and slipped past the Bishop Snyder Cardinals 3-2. The win was some much needed relief for the Blue Devils as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Clay wouldn't go down easily and took Bishop Snyder into a fifth set where they got it done with a six-point win. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-20, 25-27, 25-21, 15-9.

Myla Barker paced Clay's offense, picking up 15 kills. Barker got some help from Aubrey Sellars and her 35 assists. Joleena Delosreyes controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Bishop Snyder lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Claire Nickles, who had 16 digs.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 6-8. As for Bishop Snyder, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-6.

Clay didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Orange Park on the 18th. As for Bishop Snyder, they will be playing at home against Palatka at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
