Volleyball Recap: St. Lucy's Falls Despite Big Games from Tai Wright and Mya Moshrefi

St. Lucy managed to slip by Rancho Cucamonga the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Regents came up short against the Cougars on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Regents' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

St. Lucy's took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-13, 25-19.

Despite the loss, St. Lucy's had strong showings from Mya Moshrefi, who had 15 digs and two assists, and Tai Wright, who had six kills and five digs. Moshrefi has been hot, having posted 14 or more digs the last five times she's played.

St. Lucy's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Rancho Cucamonga, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-16.
