Softball Game Preview: Comer Tigers vs. Vincent Yellow Jackets

Comer hasn't had much luck against Vincent recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. After both having extra time off, the two teams will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Comer fell victim to Thorsby and their airtight pitching crew last Thursday. They lost 20-0 to the Rebels. The Tigers just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Vincent and Southeastern, and Southeastern kept the tradition alive. Vincent came up short against Southeastern last Thursday, falling 17-2.

Vincent saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was McKenzie Fields, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Vincent's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Comer, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Comer hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .393. However, it's not like Vincent struggles in that department as they've averaged .462. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Comer might still be hurting after the 24-11 defeat they got from Vincent when the teams last played on March 3rd. Can Comer avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
