Volleyball Recap: Florin Victorious

Florin won the last time they faced Marysville and things went their way on Friday too. The Florin Panthers put the hurt on the Marysville Indians with a sharp 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Florin took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-6, 25-10, 25-13.

Edgar Martinez paced Florin's offense, picking up seven kills. Martinez got some help from Sean Lee and his 17 assists. Lee was also solid from the service line: he led the team with six aces.

Florin's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Marysville, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Florin will head out on the road to take on Armijo at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup will give Florin their first taste of in-conferenceaction this season. As for Marysville, they will venture away from home to square off against Mira Loma at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be Marysville's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
