Recap: Sulphur Bluff Bears vs. McLeod Longhorns
On Thursday, the Sulphur Bluff Bears's game was all tied up 18-18 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 34-26 win over McLeod. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Sulphur Bluff.
Emma Neal continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 17 points along with six steals. Those six steals set a new season-high mark for her. Zaylee Peyton was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Sulphur Bluff has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 7-12 record this season. As for McLeod, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.
Sulphur Bluff will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Lindsay at 1:00 p.m. on December 29th. Lindsay presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Sulphur Bluff in Texas (Lindsay is ranked 191st, while Sulphur Bluff is ranked 1229th). McLeod and Blue Ridge will face off at 5:50 p.m. on December 28th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
