While Tuesday's victory was certainly a team effort, someone pulling more than their own weight was underclassman Avery Modlin. She wasn't messing around on Tuesday, striking out 16 batters over six innings while giving up six earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. The pitching appearance was her seventh straight with nine or more strikeouts.

Modlin's strong effort led Enloe over Sanderson and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Spartans are limping into the matchup having lost seven straight on the road dating back to last season.
