Softball Recap: Columbus Comes Up Short

Columbus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 15-0 to the Amory Panthers. Having soared to a lofty 30 runs in the game before, the Falcons' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Columbus' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Amory, their win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-0.

Looking ahead, Columbus will challenge Philadelphia at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Amory, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers duke it out with the Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
